Black Holes

Where we are not taking you.

Some rooms hold famous credentials and absorb light. Stars on the door, lists in the window, a queue that photographs well — enormous gravity, and nothing comes back out.

We publish no scores, and we will not start here. Admission to the twenty-five is the only verdict we publish. A black hole is that verdict withheld, in a room where the outside world insists otherwise.

We will name them rarely and without pleasure. When we name one, we will have eaten there, paid the bill in full, and we will show it — the date, the party, the figures.

None named yet. We are still counting.
